Designer Picks: Table Lamps That Instantly Elevate a Space

Table lamps are one of the easiest ways to completely change the feeling of a room.

The right one doesn’t just add light. It adds shape, texture, contrast, and a layer that makes a space feel finished.

I pulled together a few of my current favorites that feel sculptural, elevated, and a little unexpected. These are the pieces I’d actually use in my own projects—mixing materials, playing with form, and adding just enough statement without trying too hard.

Sculptural + Artistic

Wild Thing Papier-mache Table Lamp – TOV

This one feels more like a piece of art than a lamp. The organic form adds movement and softness, especially in spaces that need something less structured. Perfect for: a nightstand or styled on a stack of books where you want a moment.

Hendrix White Resin Table Lamp – CB2

A clean sculptural shape that still has personality. It’s minimal, but not boring. Perfect for: modern bedrooms or layered, neutral living rooms.

Medici Marble Table Lamp – Anthropologie

Heavy, grounded, and timeless. The marble base gives it that elevated, collected feel that instantly makes a space look more expensive. Perfect for: consoles, entry moments, or anywhere you want a strong anchor piece.

Warm + Textured

Coco Coconut Fibre Pointed Table Lamp – TOV

Super textural and unexpected. This is the kind of piece that makes a room feel curated instead of decorated. Perfect for: adding warmth to modern spaces or balancing out sleek materials.

Samba Natural Jute Table Lamp – TOV

Soft, earthy, and easy to layer. This is one of those lamps that works almost anywhere but still adds depth. Perfect for: bedrooms, reading corners, or styled shelving.

Cienega White Ceramic Reactive Glaze Table Lamp – CB2

The glaze detail adds just enough variation to keep it interesting, while still feeling calm and neutral. Perfect for: a relaxed, layered look with linen, wood, and natural textures.

Minimal + Modern

Oceana Black Metal Table Lamp with Alabaster Shade – CB2

Super clean with a strong silhouette. The alabaster shade softens the black base in a really nice way. Perfect for: nightstands or desks where you want something minimal but impactful.

Polished Nickel Table Lamp – TOV

Sleek, reflective, and a little more elevated than your standard metal lamp. Adds that subtle editorial edge. Perfect for: mixing into darker palettes or adding contrast to warm spaces.

Bold + Statement

Venus Champagne Brass Dome Table Lamp with Marble Base – CB2

A classic dome shape but done in a way that feels bold and refined. The marble base keeps it grounded. Perfect for: desks, side tables, or anywhere you want a focal point.

Designer Tip: How to Choose the Right Table Lamp

  • Go slightly oversized when you can—it always feels more intentional

  • Mix materials instead of matching everything

  • Use lamps to add contrast (not blend in)

  • Warm light bulbs only—this matters more than the lamp itself

  • Think of lamps as sculpture, not just lighting

If I Were Styling With These…

I’d pair the Venus dome lamp with a dark wood console and oversized art for a strong, editorial moment.

The Samba jute lamp works perfectly in a bedroom with linen bedding and soft, layered neutrals.

The Wild Thing lamp is made for a stacked book moment on a side table—something that feels collected over time.

And the Oceana black lamp is the easiest way to add contrast to an all-neutral space without overcomplicating it.

I’ll be sharing new designer picks every week—lighting, furniture, decor, everything I’m loving and actually using in my designs.
